Infant Program  6 weeks - 18 months (or when walking independently)

Our goal is to build and develop a secure and trusting relationship with your child, which is a primary task for infants.  We foster this trust through sensitive responses to infants’ signals, and mutual delight in interactions.  At Alef Academy we provide a safe environment where your baby will not only be nurtured and loved, but where our highly trained teachers will work to stimulate your baby’s cognitive, emotional and physical development through movement, exploration and one-on-one nurturing. As infants take to their feet, a whole new world is opened, and we will be there to help you, help them walk, talk, and begin developing positive relationships with others.

In addition to nurturing your child and their basic care, we at Alef Academy encourage the child’s mental and physical development.  Your child will experience activities that incorporate the natural routine, such as; feeding and play which are reinforced through development without disrupting their daily schedule.  

Our infant program builds cognitive, language, gross motor skills and social skills.  Our teachers are dedicated to providing interaction while individually nurturing each child.

In this classroom there is no “daily” schedule, we run on your baby’s time!!

Toddler Program 18 months - 36 months

(Children have the option of joining 1, 2, 3, or 5 days a week, either half-days or full days.)

Our 2’s program is designed for the very young child to transition from the sensory-motor world of toddlers to an increasingly social world. Through stimulating learning centers, children have the opportunity to move purposefully, assert their independence, and learn to communicate with their peers. Our experienced and talented teachers use these centers and many enriching activities to foster learning and growth in a warm and nurturing environment. Activities are open ended and emphasize process over product.

 

Pre School Program 3's and 4's

(Children have the option of joining 1, 2, 3, or 5 days a week, either half-days or full days.) 

 

The rich classroom environment in our preschool class is a place where children are challenged to learn while making friends, developing self- confidence, and self-direction. Changes to the learning environment, activities, and projects reflect the children’s emerging interests.

Daily language experiences support literacy and language development. Mathematical reasoning and scientific thought is emphasized throughout the centers. These pre-math and pre-literacy skills are the building blocks for their future academic success in the years following their preschool experience.
